Men of GBC, come together on Monday night, November 3rd from 6-8pm and enjoy some of the finest chili you’ve ever eaten. Bring chili if you’re brave, throw your lot in, and battle for the glory that is the Golden Ladle. The rule is simple, you make it. Not your wife or your mom. You make it, you give it a name, and then you help serve chili while the rest of the men judge. There will be winners in 3 categories. Best traditional chili. Best hot chili. Best exotic meat chili (not beef, chicken or pork). Chili with the most votes in each category wins the category. Chili with the most votes overall get’s the chef’s name etched in the temporal glory of the Golden Ladle.
Not only will your belly be fed, but we'll feed your soul. Pastor Bart will challenge us from the book of Jeremiah, as we look back and see the ways of God have always been the good ways. The best path is always the ancient path. Come and be refreshed. Come and be reminded of our calling as men to follow Christ in every circumstance. Bring your sons. Bring your neighbors. We’ll judge the chili and enjoy a sermon over a cinnamon roll.
