My dear parents,

You are receiving this because God has blessed you with a young lady in either 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade. It is my prayer that I can get to know and minister to your daughter(s) through the Gracious Girls class.

The goal of our 7 week class is more than etiquette. I desire to share the love of Christ with your daughter. I want her to not only hear the gospel every gathering, but also to know how we can share God's love with others, especially through our etiquette and good manners, of course. Each week we will highlight a godly character trait we can implement in our lives. We will also review a selected etiquette or good manner practice.

After much thought and prayer, I have decided to focus this ministry on the 3rd-5th grade girls of our church. This is a pivotal age. It can be a struggle for these girls to find their place in the world. They are not quite adults but they almost feel more than children. I know from experience, God can radically change lives, even at this young age.

Lord willing, each Spring I am planning on offering this class for this age group. Even though we will technically cover the same material each year, we all know how valuable repetition and reminders can be for our forgetful hearts and minds. Plus, as your daughter grows older, she may pick up on things she would not have the year before. I mention this to encourage these girls to want to join us, no matter how many times she has been through the class.

And for the young ladies who have yet to take this class, I certainly hope they will be able to join us this year! We have such a wonderful time together.

In conclusion, there will be a sign-up sheet in the Church foyer. Please sign your daughters up for Gracious Girls. I hope to see you and your daughter(s) February 7th!
