Having welcomed tens of thousands of refugees over the past four decades, Clarkston, GA is considered the most ethnically diverse square mile in America. Our Clarkston STM is an exploratory trip to encourage missionaries already in the field and learn about unreached people groups among the immigrant populations in the United States as well as further looking into the long-term possibility for the Leake family to serve in the community.

The trip will include classes on unreached people groups and evangelism, visiting local missionaries involved in refugee ministry, surveying markets, local places of worship and gathering places to learn about the needs of the community. We will also encourage a newly formed Spanish-speaking ministry that seeks to reach the Pashtun people group. We desire that our time in Clarkston will help us better understand the plight of refugees and how to connect with unreached refugees in the United States as a whole, but also in Hutchinson Kansas as we begin to serve the refugee population here.
